A Presidential Decree "On the Wide Celebration of the 690th Anniversary of the Birth of the Great Statesman and Commander, Patron of Science, Culture, and Art, Sahibkiran Amir Temur" has been adopted.
According to the decree, the 690th anniversary of the birth of Sahibkiran Amir Temur will be widely celebrated this year. Every year, April is declared "Amir Timur Month," during which meetings are organized in educational institutions and mahallas with the participation of Timur scholars, writers, and artists.
A "roadmap" until 2030 has been approved, providing for:
- Holding an international scientific conference on "The Role and Significance of Amir Timur and the Timurid Civilization in World History and Culture" at the Center of Islamic Civilization on April 9-10.
- Publication of the scientific annotated text of the work "Temur's Code" in Persian, Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Spanish, and Russian;
- Creation of book-albums "100 Rare Manuscripts of the Timurid Era," "100 Rare Pearls of the Timurid Era";
- Creation of an electronic platform of sources of the Timurid era.
The composition of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding of events dedicated to the 690th anniversary of the birth of Sahibkiran Amir Temur has been approved.
