A collection of manuscripts dedicated to the treatment of horses, birds, and hunting is kept in the collection of the Abu Rayhan Beruni Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. Some of them were copied during the Baburid period.
Among the notable works on hippology (about horses), 3 can be noted:
- "Kashif al-wail fi ma'tifat amrad al-hayl" (Determining Disasters in Knowing Horse Diseases) is an encyclopedia in Arabic dedicated to the treatment of pack animals and the training of horses. The author, Abu Bakr ibn al-Mundir al-Baytar (14th century), was the chief veterinarian of the court of the Mamluk Sultan Muhammad Mansur ibn Qalawun, who ruled in Egypt and Syria;
- "Mizmori donish" (Field of Knowledge) is a 19th-century manuscript of a work written in Persian;
- "Farasnama" was written in Sanskrit and translated into Persian by an unknown translator during the reign of Shah Jahan.
Of these 3 copies, 2 are ornamental manuscripts with colorful miniatures of horses.

Quantitatively, there are more "Boznoma," that is, treatises about falcons. In particular, there are copies of several works written during the reign of the Baburid Jalaluddin Akbar (1556-1605), who was very fond of falcon hunting.

The Institute's collection also holds "Shikornomas" - works about hunting. Among them, some copies of "Kitobi Saydiya" (Book of Hunting) stand out with their elegantly crafted colorful paintings and ornamental decorations. The first of the 7 copies of the work was copied in 1553.
