Euronews and CNN have announced the upcoming broadcast of a series of videos within the framework of the international project "Whispers of Wisdom", implemented by the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. This was reported by the information service of the Center of Islamic Civilization.
The project brings the intellectual heritage of Central Asia back into the global cultural and scientific space, reminding that many fundamental ideas of modern civilization were formed long before the emergence of European universities - at the cultural crossroads of the Great Silk Road.
The videos are dedicated to ten great personalities of Uzbekistan - Muhammad Khwarizmi, Ahmad Fergani, Abu Rayhan Beruni, Ibn Sina, Amir Temur, Mirzo Ulugbek, Ali Kushchi, Alisher Navoi, Kamoliddin Behzod, and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. Without them, it is impossible to imagine the development of mathematics, medicine, astronomy, philosophy, art, and state thought.
- The project is not a story about the past, but a meaningful dialogue with the future. Our task is to return to the world the civilizations, personalities, and discoveries that were formed on the soil of Central Asia, which had a decisive influence on the development of world science, culture, and human thought. "The implementation of this project is another important step in fulfilling the tasks set in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State," said Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.
Oscar winner, world-renowned actor Ben Kingsley is participating as the project's narrator.
