The conference, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Academy of Sciences, the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan (WOSCU), and the International Institute of Central Asia, is attended by about 300 scientists, art historians, and representatives of the education sphere.

The purpose of the conference is to analyze the spiritual and scientific heritage of the peoples of the region as a basis for unity, cooperation, and sustainable development. Also, special attention should be paid to the contribution of states to the preservation, study, and promotion of the common cultural heritage, as well as international initiatives aimed at developing science, education, and intercultural dialogue.

First, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's congratulatory message to the conference participants was read aloud by Presidential Advisor Ruslanbek Davletov. Then, a documentary film about the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan was shown. Participants were also familiarized with the expositions of the Center's museum.

It should be noted that the Congress brought together representatives of international organizations, the diplomatic corps, scientific and cultural institutions, as well as scientists and artists from Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan. It is symbolic that the event will be held at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. This complex embodies the three-thousand-year history of the region, the periods of the Renaissance, and the development of New Uzbekistan. The Center serves as a platform for studying the heritage of civilization, educating young people, and strengthening international cultural cooperation.

Also, within the framework of the Congress program, the forum of historians "Historical Heritage of Central Asia: a single past - a common future"; Art exhibition "Central Asia: a great past and a great future"; "From Cuneiform to Digital Archives: Prospects of Central Asian Librarianship"; The International Film Forum "Living History" and sectoral meetings on the topic "Youth and the digital age: from ancient manuscripts to artificial intelligence" will be held.

The international congress will last until November 15.
