A delegation led by U.S. Special Representative for South and Central Asia Sergio Gore and US First Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau visited the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, the Center's press service reported.

The guests familiarized themselves with the activities of the Center, its unique national architecture and architectural solutions, and the museum's exposition. The unique artifacts, ancient manuscripts, and historical artifacts displayed in the museum made a great impression on the guests. They highly appreciated Uzbekistan's efforts to preserve and promote cultural heritage on a global scale.
The exposition of the Center is based on modern scientific approaches and technological solutions, in which, based on the concept of "Civilizations, Personalities and Discoveries", the great scientists who grew up on the soil of Uzbekistan, their scientific heritage and contribution to world development are widely covered.
This visit of the US delegation was one of the important steps towards further strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries, promoting the rich historical and scientific heritage of Uzbekistan at the international level.
