Within the framework of the international expert forum held in Tashkent, the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan was presented with a facsimile copy of one of the invaluable heritage of the Timurid era - the Quran, copied by the hand of the ruler of Shiraz and the famous calligrapher Ibrahim Sultan. This was reported by the Center's press service.

It is known that Shahrukh, the successor of Amir Timur, ruled in the territories of Maverannahr and Khorasan, and his children paid great attention to science and culture. One of them, Ibrahim Sultan, was known not only as a just ruler but also as a writer who left a name in history with his high skill. His Quran, copied in the "khatti muhaqqaq" style, is considered one of the rarest treasures among the manuscripts of the Timurid era.
- The original copy of this work is currently kept in the library of Astan Qudsi Razavi, located at the shrine of Hazrat Imam Reza in the city of Mashhad, Iran. The facsimile presented at the forum will further enrich the collections of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan," said Gulomrizo Amirkhani, Chairman of the National Archives and Library of Iran.
During the event, an agreement was reached on cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran in such areas as the study of manuscripts and facsimile works, the exchange of experience in the field of publishing, and the establishment of scientific ties between specialists.
