Within the framework of the third International Festival of Folk Applied Arts, held in Kokand, the International Museum of Folk Applied Arts was opened.
It was named after Ghada Hijjavi Caddumi, who made a worthy contribution to the development of world crafts.

Who is Kaddumi?
During her tenure as President of the World Crafts Council for the Asia-Pacific region, Ms. Gada Kaddumi sponsored many projects in the field of crafts and applied arts. In 2019, Kokand was awarded the status of "World Craftsmen's City" under his leadership.
Ms. Ghada, the author of various encyclopedic books and articles on craftsmanship, passed away in 2021. He dreamed of uniting cultures and countries through crafts. He always supported the creativity and initiatives of artisans. Craftsmen, whose work flourished under his patronage, sent their products and works from all over the world to the newly established museum.
The portrait of Ghada Kaddumi, created by the artist Maksudjon Kasimov, was also included in the museum.

For information, the World Crafts Council is currently headed by his son, Saad al-Kaddumi. This Council was established in Belgium in 1964 as a non-governmental non-profit organization and supports handicraft organizations around the world by holding seminars, conferences and exhibitions to preserve and develop rich cultural heritage.
The Republican Association "Hunarmand" became a member of this Council in 2019.
