A collection of unique artifacts and Quran manuscripts related to the history of Uzbekistan was presented for the first time in London, Great Britain. These monuments have been stored in private collections and museums for years, and now they are returning to Uzbekistan. This was reported by the information service of the Center of Islamic Civilization.

The events were organized by the world-famous auction houses Sotheby's and Christie's.
- This large-scale project for the return of historical and spiritual masterpieces to the Homeland is being implemented on the basis of a direct instruction of the head of our state. "This is not just the return of historical artifacts - it is a symbol of memory, national identity, and recognition of Uzbekistan's unique role in preserving the Islamic heritage," said Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director of the Center of Islamic Civilization, at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
Among the rare artifacts displayed are pages of 9th-13th century Quran manuscripts, miniatures, elegant jewelry, household items, fabrics, and works of art.
Most of the exhibits presented at the exhibitions were purchased at Sotheby's and Christie's auctions in May 2025 as part of the activities of the Center of Islamic Civilization.

- Today, Uzbekistan is making great efforts to restore and preserve its historical heritage. Such initiatives as the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent are an important step in this direction, which will soon open its doors as a beacon of knowledge and interfaith dialogue. "This is an expression of our desire to understand and openly express our historical identity," said the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Great Britain, Ravshan Usmanov.
These exhibitions in London were not only an important cultural event, but also an expression of the restoration of historical justice. The exhibits demonstrated Uzbekistan's role as an intellectual center of the Islamic world and further achievements of today's New Uzbekistan in preserving, studying, and promoting cultural and historical heritage.
