During the research conducted at the excavation site of the Akhsikent archaeological site in the Namangan region, archaeologists identified historical finds.
In particular, a ceramic jug with a red engobe, dating back to the 1st-2nd centuries AD, was found intact. Experts suggest that this vessel was used for medical purposes, particularly for storing therapeutic fluids - possibly mercury.

Also, a number of objects related to scientific research activities of the 11th-12th centuries were discovered - vessels for storing mercury, inkwells, remnants of a workshop (laboratory) for separating chemical substances and geological elements, copper and bronze coins, various metal objects.
These findings provide valuable information not only about the daily life of the inhabitants of Akhsikent, but also about their knowledge and experience in the fields of medieval science, chemistry, and geology.
It is noted that during the current excavation season, 4 large engineering structures and about 4,000 various rare artifacts were found.
