As previously reported, from April 25 to May 2, 2025, members of the delegation headed by the Chairman of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan, Firdavs Abdukhalikov, participated in auctions at the world-famous auction houses "Sotheby's" and "Christie's" during a business trip to London, Great Britain.
At the auction, in which members of the delegation participated, it was announced that there are also rare artifacts related to the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, in particular, the pre-Islamic period, the First and Second Renaissance, and the period of the khanates, and 46 lots were selected. These historical exhibits are planned to be included in the exposition of the Center of Islamic Civilization.
Recently, at an expanded meeting, exhibits related to the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan were reviewed, and the possibilities of their return to our country were discussed.
At the meeting, Academician Akbar Khakimov spoke in detail about the artifacts of the Samanid, Ghaznavid, Khorezmshah, Karakhanid, Timurid, and Uzbek Khanate periods stored in the collections of a number of art dealers in London.
In particular, it was reported that a silver tray belonging to Abu Mansur ibn Sabuktekin, a representative of the Seljuk dynasty, is kept in the David Shah collection in London. He was the brother of Sultan Mahmud of Ghazni and is known as an important political figure in the history of Central Asia and Iran. They were also presented with jewelry from other collections belonging to the last ruler of the Ghaznavid dynasty, Khusrav Malik, swords from the Timurid dynasty, the Shahrisabz Suzana, ceramic vessels, and other monuments. It was emphasized that they are not only material, but also spiritual and scientific.

Such efforts serve as an important step in preserving, restoring, and passing on our national heritage to future generations.
In July, the delegation members are scheduled to meet with major London collectors - dealers such as Sarukhani, Khalili, Bilal Sudchi, and Davudshah.
