After the suppression of the national liberation uprising in Andijan by the Tsarist troops (the Andijan uprising of 1898), the Ishaan's library was confiscated. A part of it, at the request of Turkestan orientalist N.P. Ostroumov (1846-1930), was transferred to the Turkestan Circle of Archaeology Enthusiasts, which carried out extensive research on the history of the region. Later, it was transferred to the Turkestan Public Library (now the National Library of Uzbekistan) and included 194 manuscripts, enriching the collection of oriental manuscripts.
You can learn more about the topic in the book-album "The Manuscript and Book Heritage of the National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi" (Volume XLI) in the series "The Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan".
