At the eastern entrance leading to the complex is installed a carved door with very fine and delicate laced chasing.

The door is made of elm. On the upper door panels there is an inscription in the thuluth script that in former times had been incrusted with ivory (restored in 2005). Two names of Allah (al-asma’ al-husna): الحنان – «The All-Kind and Caring» and الوهاب – «The Giver of All» are repeated in the upper belt of this epigraphic design in kufic scribing.

The gates of Paradise are open to the poor. The Grace of Allah comes down upon the merciful.

A monogram with the date and the name of the master is inscribed in the upper and lower parts of the plank on the left leaf of the door.

The work by Master Yusuf Shirazi. The year of 807 [1404 – 1405].

Over the entrance aperture there is a large rectangular mosaic panel with a two-row text. The text in the upper belt (the inscription begins there) is written with small yellow letters, in the lower part – with large white letters. The script is naskh, diacritical signs are marked regularly. Based on their paleographic shape and writing technique, the inscription can be dated to the epoch of the Temurids (apparently, written during one of the regular repairs).

The Prophet [peace be upon him!], [who was] an Arabian, from the [family of] Hashimi, [the kindred of] Quraishi, a Meccan, [then] a Medinian said: «Among all the people Qusam ibn ‘Abbas is similar to me in [outward] looks and behaviour».
